Fiona Ashmead

Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 1985. She initially worked in London for 10 years before relocating to East Anglia in the mid nineties where, until recently, she was a Partner in a firm in Bury St Edmunds. 

Over the years Fiona has amassed a wealth of knowledge in both Property and Private Client work.

A few years ago Fiona decided to take the STEP exams to concentrate solely on assisting clients in dealing with the personal matters related to Probate, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyships.

Most recently Fiona was awarded a distinction in the STEP Certificate in Advising the Vulnerable Client and is one of small number of people in the country who have this recognition. She is in the process of being made a member of STEP

Fiona’s work passion is helping and supporting the vulnerable members of society by offering advice to families or being appointed as an attorney or deputy to look after clients’ affairs.


Outside of work Fiona lives locally with her husband who is a business trainer and runs The Suffolk Wine Academy. Fiona’s interests include travelling skiing, keeping fit, including boxing, and good food and wine. She is a Trustee of the Bury Town Trust. Fiona also has 2 cats Morrissey and Cleo.
